 About Your Facilitator: Lisa Vanco

Lisa is the creator of ‘Mindful Meisner’: a research-led technique she developed through her work at the Shakespeare Institute (Stratford-upon-Avon) and the Social Neuroscience Laboratory at UCL. Blending Meisner practice with Eye Gazing, Stanislavski’s ‘Communion’, and non-judgmental repetition, her methodology creates a safe, science-informed space for actors to access truthful behaviour through genuine human connection.

Lisa has taught at the Royal Shakespeare Company, trained directors at FOCAL Bern & Lausanne, co-founded a bilingual professional actor school in Paris, and teaches PhD students at the Shakespeare Institute.
